Valve Seat Angles
« on: May 01, 2012, 10:27:38 pm »
My valve seats on my tvm195 are pretty rough so i wanted to use my friends seat grinder / cutter tool.  i know a briggs 12hp flat head angles are 31 intake 46 exhaust, but i cant find what a tvm motor is...  Does any one know what angle the seats are or are they the same as a briggs?

I THINK THEY ARE BOTH 45. HOLD 1 VALVE STEM UP AND THE OTHE STEM DOWN. IF THE FACES MATCH UP THEN BOTH ARE 45'S

MOST BRANDS USE THE 31 AND 45 FOR THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST ANGLES.

Seat angle but i might grind the valves too while im at it.  If the valves are 45 would the seats be 46?
