thats not whats wrong with it
its not under sanctioned build guide lines
aside from being incredibly unsafe, it doesn't give us a good image

unsafe? in what way? im beginning to build the frame and foremost i want it to be safe and reliable.
im just looking for any suggestions someone may have pertaining to steering and drivetrain. and yes
the tractor will not fall under sanctioned build guide lines but i just need some help starting it.
and as for giving you a "good image" what do you mean?

I thought that as long as it was under "OTHER INTRESTING BUILDS" it was aloud. All those other people who do other builds are not sactioned racers! Peronally, as long as he puts all the safety equpment on it tether switch, brakes, steering, ect... It should be aloud as a other intresting build.

Just my .02 cents

The guidelines for other interesting builds is stickied at the top of that forum, with examples of what we intend seeing therein. It is there for the benefit of 'sanctioned racers' that have other mower related projects they are working on, that might be construed as interesting to the general membership of the forum.

Putting a 1000 CC Kawasaki engine under the hood of a lawn mower, so you can scream up and down the streets of your neighborhood, does not in any way fall under the guise of the examples offered there, and you have clearly indicated that you are not a sanctioned racer. Therefore you would be likely to harm the reputation of the sport with this project, and we cannot, and will not, support it's build on this forum.

If any of you wish to continue arguing admin's decision on this matter, you're membership here will be terminated, as were those of the many before you that have argued such points. This is a Lawn Mower Racing forum, it is here for the benefit of SANCTIONED RACERS. It is privately owned and operated, and...

-- We have the right to refuse or terminate any membership at any time, if we feel it necessary.
-- We have the right to edit, lock, or delete any post we deem inappropriate to this forum.

If you don't like way we operate this forum, go start your own forum! Mowbetter is here to discuss sanctioned racing mowers!

End of story guys! Park it, or you will be banned from this forum!

i came to this forum with the hope of enlightenment in the form of build suggestions and tractor chassis building tips. not being a "sanctioned racer" i guess ended my chances at that. this build's main purpose was in no way to "scream up and down the streets" but instead build a stock appearing mower with more than stock performance (i do have mufflers for the kz). this forum and all who devote time here appreciate the fabrication of their racing mowers as do i. that is why i posted here in what i thought to be the appropriate thread. if you could please PM me with an appropriate forum at which i could post my build progress id appreciate it.

and to SeanStanley: how could someone just from seeing my mower automatically make the connection between it and the USLMRA. couldnt i just be a mechanic that enjoys building performance oriented toys?

becuase its a mower
not only a mower, but a mower thats reaching far from stock speeds.
this would lead to the idea of it being a racing mower

everytime the idiot across the street rides his un-mufflered mower, the cops come to my house
wonder why? becuase im the president of my group
