Funny how a guy can speak from losing his own engines and then be told he "doesnt know" what he is talking about...sure, somebody has had failures out of something at least once. But multiples of the same thing?? That oughta tell ya somethin! And personally, I will stick to my Wix/Napa Gold whatever you wanna call it.
not saying yall don't know what ur talking about just have never had that happen so I didn't know not to use them but now I do

I personally lost 2 race engines back to back from using Fram. Changed to a Wix filter and never had any more problems. If only 3 or 4 companies make filters as Paul says, then they must make some better than others for different companies.

I ONLY USE THE KAWASAKI FILTER. THIS WAY IF IT BLEW UP DUE TO THE FILTER, THEN YOU CAN PUT ALL THE BLAME ON THE OEM.

Agreed -The Kaw looks to be built much better and has better flow when holding them side by side. I need to investigate the Wlamart brand too.

Our Pro Dirt Track Racers here at work, swear by Wix and this new Purple oil.

I use cheesecloth plastic bag and zip ties.

Me too.  I usually throw a few coffee filters in there, just for looks, on either end of a Southern Indian Ocean naturally harvested organic sponge from Menards.

I have seen what the inside of a Fram filter looks like.  I have not and will not ever use them.  I don't care what anyone else says I would never use them.  Sorry.
