Tom, Great call those 700 series oil seals thru John Deere!!...I ordered 10, just got them...perfect price...thank you for sharing.
420 USED starters are as low as $49.00 on ebay. They seem to run around avg $75.00 to $150.00.
With that being said, I am selling two 460's with Nippo starters on craigslist.....I am getting stuipid low offers and a lot of whining.....So....I can take off the starters and sell it for more than I am selling the whole motor.
I have not seen a 420 drop a valve.......I have seen the seats come out of 460's.
