mikuni cab
« on: December 29, 2011, 01:27:43 am »
Iam trying out a miknui carb , a tm2855 (2 stk 80 suzzki)28mm . it has a main jet ot 180 , my motor is a 30ci vanguard w/ a rev kit and a billit flywheel . it cuts out from 1/3rd full throtle . the honda dealer told me that a 180 jet is realy small even for what the carb was meant for .

So my question is for anyone who is running this type carb what is a good jet size to start with? I have jets from 110-280 so i should be ok ....
also I was givin some other jet lookin things just a little longer with a few holes in them , I have no idea what they are for yet but i have 20-62 in sizes.

thanks

start with around .050 diameter. buy a cheap hand held torch tip drill kit and open up the smallest jet you have. make sure you pull needle up to middle slot to start with.

Well after going to a #220 jet on a motor that is 30ci , no cam , rev kit , billit fly wheel , two into one headers , it is running real good .

Iam amazed at the differance the carb made on start up , idle , and over all . I just wish stock two barrel carbs were that good for the money.
