I'm still interested in that front end of yours, because that has to be the simplest front end i've seen, and i'm still puzzled as what you have as a spindle and how exactly you hold the tire on, so if you can, post some pics of the spindle assembly with the tire off for me, because i'm planning on fabbing up my own front end, and i might use your idea if it seems safe enough.

That front end works great let me see if I can fill you in on how its made. Start off with your 2" square tubbing cut it to what ever length you would like. Next cut two pieces of 2 1/2" square tubbing  1 1/4" wide. Cut one end of each piece off right at the bend. that gives you your two U pieces for the spindles. Drill a hole directly in the center for your big bolt what ever size u need for your rims. next weld the head of the bolts to the piece of 2 1/2 " square tubbing where the hole was drilled. then drill your other two holes both threw the spindle and your axle.

Instead of welding the nut on, couldn't you use a lock-nut with washers and thrust bearings?

Oh ok now I see what you're saying!  Would it still be a good idea to use thrust washers and bearings to make things move a little smoother up front?  Only problem I can see with that is dust and dirt getting in em and seizing things up.

ok i see it better now, thanks. I just have one question, the bolt that you use as a spindle, Do you put that peice of tubing right over the bolt?

Thanks again for the description, if i have to fab my own axle, i will use your idea for sure...

And just a side note, its spelled Axle not axel...
