yes danny you have, in a video......i guess that things not as short as i thought it would be, looks like your build is comin along nicely, keep it up.

-Phil
..."I used that motto to keep going, keep pushing, keep digging to
find a way around, or through to find a hole, some kind of break that
would allow some space. Once something broke thru, I could be there to
take advantage. Then I would finish 7th instead of 10th." - Dubba G

Foote is no good for racing. Sami uses that same tranny but with different set up ask squidd how it seems to go and how the mower is set up. Like hp, rpm's, gearing and such.

Squidd,  Are you talking about the H-Shift tranny in Sami's build thread ?  The Wizard (old MTD) ?
I would love to see the inside of one of those.  We have some of those in mowers we bought to build, but we have not torn into any of them yet!  We generally use P-700's          Dave

Yeah, I got a couple of each laying around, and I'm waiting on parts to proceed with the F/X so I thought I'd tear into these...

Side by side you'll see the differences and weak points, (of each) and be able to make an informed decision if it's "strong enough" or if you can trust those little keyed shafts...

They work just fine to a certain HP and RPM and Weight (torque) requirement...How much more will they take before you need to upgrade for your requirements...??

 I'll let you guys decide...

well, if i ever use my Foote, the most that will ever go into it is a governed 8 hp Briggs or a governed 10 hp Tecumseh. That is until i get a peerless 700.....
