I have yet to drive a super-mod where I can actually USE the brake,If I ever get to build mine it's probably gonna look like a mower limo.

you could try mounting your gas and brake on your steering wheel and run a cintrifical clutch all chain so you dont have to use you legs at all if all hand work.

Gas is on the wheel and I can't let my feet get bored....I've done some pre-lim measurements that i think will work, now for a mock up. I just need to find a low-profile seat.

You could on mine. They have the feel of a motorcycle style brake pedal. I mount a "foot peg" under the pedal that you "lock" your foot on and roll your foot (toes) onto the brake. I have foot braces on both sides so you are locked into the chassis and the left side brake once you get used to it is the most comfortable way to set up brakes as your left foot doesn't require the bracing your right foot requires especially in the corner where you use the brake the most.

Never thought of it that way.. Make sense to not take your main point of bracing (right leg) off the rest.

I am 6'1" and I prefer the Deere L or LA series. Lots of room and a 47-48" wheel base. Even my FXT is the same chassis and it is comfortable.

Hey Glenn-
When you talk about the JD L or LA I think of the old 2 banger farm tractors.

They would certainly be long enough.
2 cyl flathead engine, tube chassis,

I like these seats. http://www.tractorsupply.com/padded-pan-seat-black-0278221
They hold you in well and you can raise the front of it to get more leg room

well I've been fartin around with this craftsman chassis and left the axle in the orig position.moved the fenders back 1 1/2 inches, seat all the way back on them, pushed the running boards forward 4" (splicing in another stock piece) and I now have my knees below the steering wheel.now for the pedals.this thing looks pretty good with a lowered murray hood.
