Introduce Yourself!
« on: October 09, 2011, 07:58:22 am »
Hey Mowers,
Release the throttle on down to an idle and introduce yourselves. Give everyone here a little wave and a quick hello. It's nice to know that there are actual people behind these racing machines.. If you're an individual of few words just use the Quik Fax below :P

Quik Fax:
Name:
Age:
Level of Interest:
Type(s) of Mowchines:
An Interesting Fact About Yourself:

*I've been all over this forum looking for an "Introduction" thread but I couldn't find one. If there is one could someone PM the link to the correct forum and delete this thread.*
Name: Jordan Smith
Age: 23
Level of Interest: BYB (Back Yard Banger)
Type(s) of Mowchines: John Deere 180
An Interesting Fact About Yourself: I've done a little of everything - except drugs (proud of that). 8)

**My current level of interest is BYB because I guess I chose the wrong time of the year to become interested in LMR. Right now the build is a hobby of mine as I tweak it and make it do what it was never intended to do. :P I want to start racing locally and then move into actual events and maybe nationals one day.**

Welcome to the site.

This is not the time of year to be a BYB as you say. This is the time to plan a build,
because a real build takes months to do, especially if this is your first one.
Research, study, and plan..... look into a build clinic in your area. Or some of the
very good planned ones, mostly in the spring. Since this site is dedicated to
professional style builds, those of the build something to see how fast we can make it,
are not promoted, and not helped about in the process of building as well.
And who says there is not a winter series of racing?

My first edition 180 is in the builds section. Look up John Deere 180 build. I started on 8 inch rears. Then redid it last winter to have this years chassis. The second edition is still on 8 inch rears as we'll. Basically everything in the first edition has been changed though. The second edition has pretty much been kept to myself.
