Ariens 11/38
« on: December 07, 2006, 07:22:33 am »
I had just gotten another mower. This will be #7 I have gotten for free. It is an Ariens 11/38. I will post pics of it later today. Not sure if the tranny is race Worthy. I don't know what kind it is yet. But it has three gears and a hi / low shifter on it. I was thinking on using the front axle for my other racer since the rules where I will be racing states it has to be a lawnmower axle and not manufactured. I can widen it a few inches though. But I think this one will get me lower to the ground than the original.

The question is what rear end is it. ? Can anyone tell by the pic? I will need to pressure wash all the gunk off it and get a closer look to see what it is.

I think I am going to start taking it apart tonight. I will get a pic of the rear end after I get it off.

No thanks I will be using the peerless 800 I have. I was just wondering what that one was. I have heard that the Foote doesnt hold up very well. So you have raced with one?

There are a few around here suggest they have... but, I'm not one of them. Have peerless 700s to go in 2 mowchines. Peerless 500 to go in one. And, Peerless 600 to in the IMOW.
