Epicenter was just north of Richmond VA, 3.7 miles underground. I felt it big time here at work, stuff all over the floor. People are still outside, afraid to come in.

Tommy Daniels is down there near Richmond........Tommy, ya out there?

Well.... guess you all got to see what its like in an earthquake. I've been in probably 6-7 out here in California and they are pretty wild. One time we were watching a hockey game which was in San Jose. Suddenly the stadium was shaking, the players stopped and they played " Whole lotta' shakin' goin' on" on the PA system. A few seconds later we felt it. At the time  I was renting a room in a large old house. That thing was rocking like mad.

I'm sure Tommy will post on here shortly, but I am going to guess he made out o.k.  He lives out on "the island" on the east side of Virginia.  His big problem will be that "lil storm" hanging out in the Atlantic right now! :omg:

Felt it down at school today.  It shook pretty good for what seemed like quite awhile.  It interrupted our emergency procedures planning meeting!  Gotta love the irony!!

Hope all the Virginia racers make out o.k.!

Stacey

All I can say is "MAN WAS THAT COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I was looking at the floor and I thought I was dizzy (don't go there), then the second wave hit and it was better than the first! I spent a week in Ca. waiting on a tremor, nothing. Some lights on poles outside swayed for about 30 seconds. I can now take this off my bucket list!
