Advantages or working at a mower shop
« on: June 21, 2011, 09:24:08 pm »
I found an old Toro HMR out back of the shop today, i wanted it mainly for the briggs 12 flatty that i saw glowing in all of its glory, then after more inspection i realized this unit has dual peerless 700 trannys, ithought OMG i want it!! I went and asked my boss whos it was, he said "lets go look" we went out back and he goes "its mine, it was a trade in a couple years ago" i said "what do you want for it?" He said $100, i said if i dig it out make it $75. He gave me a thumbs up and i was one happy camper. Only bad thing is one of the trannys will not go into 5th gear but i reckon a rebuild and prep will fix that, other than that the motor turns over, probably could use a rebuild but thats no biggie.I love working at a lawn mower shop where virtually everything outside about halfway back then to the back is ours, and being a close friend of the boss. :D
