New Rules
« on: November 30, 2006, 01:11:39 pm »
I wanted to get some opinions on the handling of the IMOW racers with the new rules in effect. In the past I have added some weight, (discreet strenthening), to the mower in key spots.I have kept a written record of tire pressures after each hot lap and main event.I had my mower dialed in pretty good to stay on the bottom at full throttle with minimum loss of power.
Now I have my transaxle locked and was wondering what that might do to my handling. In the back yard it seems to want to push like a dump truck.Has anyone experienced this yet?Are there things I can do to the front end to help this??
I use direct steering and have adjustments.Maybe a bit more toe out?
I know the rules are new and everybody will be fighting the way it feels I guess until we get a handle on it but maybe a few guys who run the prepared classes could help out some.

Thanks,

Run less inside rear pressure. Run 1/8 to 1/4 toe out (EXPERIMENT) wEIGHT TRANSFER NOW BECOMESW VERY IMPORTANT. Much of that is done wioth the front end. Try those two things above and see how that helps.
