Gxv340 parts swap
« on: May 29, 2011, 08:28:40 pm »
Hey guys, my cousin has 2 gxv340's, he sadi he would give me one, So i read all i could and I know the v means verticle shaft. I also read that the Gx390 Billet fly wheel and rod will fit this motor, I'm wondering if thats correct and also I'm wondering if the blocks between the 340 and 390 are the same just the 390 has a larger bore? So wjhat im trying to figure out is could the 340 be bored to fit the 390 piston? thanks for the help guys.

Does anyone know it the 340 can be bored to fit the 390 piston, and also does the 390 aluminum flywheel fit on the 340 vertical shaft crank? I'm hoping to build this Honda  :woo:

yes the 340 can be bored 2 fit 390 piston. and no the gx 390 billet fly wheel will not fit the v series engines as the crank taper on a gxv is smaller than the taper on the gx series.  build that engine. they are a torque monster is done correct.

I would build the engine, but I need a billet wheel, any idea where I can get one?
