I have not dynoed my motor yet, but plan to since I have a buddy with a rear wheel dyno who offered to do it becasue all he usually gets is quads and bikes. He wants a mower on it!! So fair enough...BUT, i plan to gear it just I normally do..pick the sprockets, tire, and tranny gear to run that for example, motor pulls to 7200 and starts dropping off after that, then I would gear it to top out at 7200 or so at the end of the straightaway. Hope this makes sense.
Remember, a dyno produces numbers...thats about it. They can be helpful, pr just for showin your buddies how much power your motor makes. But I normally go by "feel" I have a tach, occasionally check the recal, but if shes still pullin or layin down earlier than I want, I adjust accordingly. Remember, track conditions can play a vital role in all this as well.
