Topic: Question about mower decks

For both ARMA and USLMRA, what are the minimum requirements for decks?  Can I weld on a simulated deck to the foot rests?  Does it have to be an acctual deck?

I have 1 JP mower and 1 CP mower.  I want to be legal for a national race if it comes our way.

In ARMA you may weld it to the foot rests, it needs to be a part of an original deck off of a mower, it does not need to be from the original mower you started with. It's really easy to take just a peice of the curve of any deck and weld it on, remember, we need to keep the "Flavor" of mowers, not hand made mowchines.

I saw a neat deal on a build. A guy had a mulching push mower and got his 2 radius' from it. Pre curved, you just have to make sure it's not an aluminum deck!!

That is what I was thinking.  Just want to make sure they are legal for both sanctioning bodies and that it is legal for JP and CP clases.

Yes, welding pieces of a deck to the running board should be legal in both classes and sanctioning bodies.
