I noticed the chain is very long on your sled. We run shorter chain.  Interesting....

Weird... Maybe it's because our sled is so heavy!!! Oh well that don't concern me!
We changed sled 2  years ago and it makes a big difference for us pullers because it pulls different! So we had to change everything!!!

Dont let our sled fool you. Its heavy.  It will transfer all the wieght to the pan. Including lifting the drive tires off the ground so the entire wieght of the sled is on the pan.

Yes I know! The sled we have is so heavy!!! Yet the sled drivers can't set it up well. It really aggravates me because when it's not set up properly it breaks tractors!!! I miss our old sled!

You guys should run the wisconsin slam sled.  Its the best sled i've pulled on in 15 years.

I have alot of experience with the wisconsins. I used to run a tjd. The thd is rated at 16hp. Both pistons go up and down at he same time. They will not turn much over stock rpm without coming apart. The tjd pistons alternate. They will turn if setup properly. The tjd is rated at 18hp. The only downfall to the engine besides being so heavy is the single intake port for both cylinders.

I was planning to keep the governor on at 3600 RPMs. So basically if I remove the governor at bone stock motor the crank is going to break pretty much? Maybe the valve springs will keep me from going too much of a RPM. I have near none experience with wisconsion. First one I ever owned! They have a class which is open rpms and motor can't be touched. It has to be out of the box form. So pretty much I have torque and more cubic inches than everyone else. The kohler 20hp v twin has 39 cubic inches. My motor has 54 cubic inches.

Do you have a picture of your clutch set up??? I really need to figure out how the world am I going to get a clutch with that huge crank!!! Lol

I was running belt drive ona wheel horse. Engine mounted inline to a 90 box with double row chain and then thru a belt.
Thd's are governed under 3000 rpm in stock form. Tjd's are governed at or around 3400rpm.
Personally I would run a command. That wisconsin in stock form will not run with a command. The command will make up for the cid difference with the rpm band it has even in stock form.

I bought the motor for $135. Thinking it will run with them but maybe not. I'll try it out and see how it goes. I might sell the tractor one day.

There's 2 guys that run a wisconsion with a billet head and big cams and billet pistion and rod. His tractor runs really good!!! Sounds awesome too! his motor is in a wide frame or a spread frame not sure. I'm going to put it in the spread frame I have sitting at home.

I really don't know how much trouble I'm getting into! Lol

Went pulling again last night. I ran with a different club. Ran there sport stock class. Flat tappet vtwins under 40 cid and flatheads under 60cid. Open carb and cam. Gas only. There were two S\A vtwins and two cylinder diesel with a small turbo. I won the class. Had two feet on my buddy with his S\A vtwin. His twin is strong. Been points champ for a couple years. I ran a 26 tooth and snuffed it but had a ton of ground speed to make up for it. First time I've lugged it like that. Didn't know how it would like it with my cam. Will post video later.
