block question

i was wondering what is the diffrence in a kohler ch25 v twin and a ch730  twin. any help i woud appreciate it

The 730 is a 30hp. Longer stroke. I think the bore is bigger as well. The heads have different cumbustion chambers as well.

The 30 hp is a CH750 (83MM bore x 69MM stroke) and has a two barrel carb and closed chamber heads.  The ch25 v twin and a ch730 are the same basic engine(83MM bore x 67MM stroke) and have a single barrel carb and open chamber heads.

I did some digging Jack and your right. I always thought the 730 was the 30hp.

anything
