I have all the brake stuff now and I'll have the steering done next.  It time to get to planting in the fields so its going to slow down a bit.  As soon as we are done planting I'm going to try to hit as many races in michigan and ohio as possible to get practice before national stuff.

I got my fender mounts and shifter finished yesterday.    I'm trying to use the lightest stuff that I can that I think will work.  I don't know how much of a stress difference there will be in racing compared to pulling.  I'm used to making everything as loose as possible so we don't break traction in pulling.  I'm not as worried about the left front tire lifting 4"-6" like in pulling.

I decided to put my battery behind the 700 for space sake and since I'm a little lighter I figured I could use some forward traction help.

I am almost done with the shifter.  I decided to use the cross support in the seat area for my shifter pivot point.  I used hollow tube that I drilled out to an oversized 5/16 and am going to run a 5/16 bolt through it.

I am using the original shift lever off of the stock 180 that i have cut and bent.  I figured why change something that works?

The shifter looks like it is in the way, but it is only in the way when it is in reverse.

So I got my brake and clutch done today.  Clutch is the same old so I'll spare ya the time.  I don't like having all sorts of holes and stuff in a nice smoothe set of fenders, so I finally figured out how i was going to do my brake.

I did it this was so there was two sides of support and I felt I could get it closer to the frame.  I didnt want to cut any holes for linkage in the fenders so I made it this way.  Extremely simple and easy to get to to work on.  The bottom is also protected in case of any crazy bumps...or cliffs i may drive off of.

Got the simulated deck on.  My welder took a crap on me  :bash:
All thats left is the steering and finishing the clutch setup.  For time sake I'm going to run mod-xr/cpr and hopefully by the end of summer I'll have a mod-x/cp engine done.

yes they have to be raised up in order to clear the taller tires at least in most cases on jds dont always have to depending on ground clearance and tire height

If he leaves enough line he should be able to pop the two nuts off and pull it out real quick.
