Battery and Fuel Tank
« on: November 18, 2006, 12:31:58 am »
For those who run a battery in their mowsheen...are you using a standard garden tractor battery?

Fuel tank. My Craftsman was set up with a tank under the rear fender/seat assembly. Obviously I will not be running such a large tank for racing. What machine/model has a decent tank that I could use?

Give Don a shout at G-Team on the gas tank, I think he has a few on hand, if not he can get you one.

I'll be talking to him in a few days...Since I pretty much finished up my trans mount last night I can do without a tranny for a few weeks!I'll be sending him TWO (2) 350 series trannies to go thru for me (one I had and one I'll be getting from MOWRON1 in a couple of days.)...maybe he can return my trannies with a present  :whistling:

On my MTD i run a tiny motorcycle battery, and on my ford, i run a full-size motorcraft car battery. the car battery is nice because it makes TONS of power to turn the engine over.
Gotta love a good 'ol Briggs Flathead!

How big are these tanks you guys use?  Reason I ask is that I have "somewhere" a 1 gallon fuel cell that was off of a junior dragster..but not sure of fuel consumption during a race with a twin cylinder engine.
