Performance for FH680D
« on: March 18, 2011, 01:11:12 pm »
Hello to all,

I have a kawasaki 23hp V-twin that I got for free. I am wanting to put it into a golf cart that I have. The problem I have is I can't find any performance parts for it. I was told about this site since the golf cart forum I am on no one knows anything about the kawasaki motors. I am not looking for anything crazy out of this motor but I would like some sort of Hi -Rev kit and a cam. I have come to the conclusion I will probably have to get a cam custom grinded.  I am just getting into the small motor world so any help would be great.

  Thanks Clayton

You can use Small Engine Cams (Tim Iskederian) for your cam.  Don't know about the rest, somebody has more experience in these than I.

You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

RoyalBlu thanks so much for the information. I really would love to keep this motor. I have heard that the Kaw engines are really a beast.

I hope so zach! I really want to use this engine. Most people just feel I should sell it and get a Vanny.

hey jax50, bore and resleave. use parts from an fh770d. also use a carb from a 25 hp or from the 770.

Grubdigger, Thanks for your reply. If you'll bare with me I'm new to the small engine world. I should bore and resleave it to the size of a fh770d? and then use the stock parts from the 770? I would like to take the gov out so I can get the higher rpms. Just wondering if the 770's stock springs and all would be like a high rev kit for it. Thanks Clayton.
