YUP I didn't say it was free!!! Ask Zach a bucket got him a ride and I didn't know him from Adam. Done a good job too.
Ask Grubby how good it feels. His wife is still mad at me for letting him on it.
Now Grubby why lock it we all civilized here. LOL

It was definately a wild ride. I should have known better than to get on it though. Now I MUST have one so I am gathering parts :D
George I will agree this thread WAS civilized until the wife jab was thrown in. Now when she sees it, we will ALL be uncivilized LOL.

But since everyone is wantin to throw out hate mail at the guys that think tube chassis is good, I guess I COULD join that crowd. If you look far enough, our fellow racers have junked SEVERAL lightweight, rail style frames that would be perfect to build all the fancy round tube off of. Personally I love building with round tube and plan to do so. If rules open to allow full tube frames, moly rack and bender here i come!! :D

Heck, look who is winning in the top classes, it is the guy with the most money in his mower.
Paul

I'm not real sure about that, either. It cost me a little under $3000.00 to build my whole supermod (Not counting my 3 or 4 hundred hours of labor). Some people have more than that in just their motor, and it don't do too awfully bad. (2010 first place in ARMA northeast region & 2010 3rd place ARMA national points)  :D

I GOT A RIDE ON THAT ONE TOO. WOOOOOOW. IM STILL NOT SURE ABOUT A KART OR HAND BUILT FRAME THOUGH. THE MACHINES THAT I HAD THE PLEASURE TO DRIVE WERE GREAT. MAYBE AT SOME POINT EVERYONE MAY HAVE TO SIT BACK AND CONSIDER A CUSTOM CLASS.I DONT THINK WE ARE AT THAT POINT YET. WE HAVE MANY CLASSES TO CHOOSE FROM NOW.

I dont see the problem , if you use a built , cart, or lawnmower chassie you dont gain speed from the chassie . If it looks like a mower it should be good to go in the super mod single and twin classes!!!!

???  I see it as an unfair advantage!  If I started with a mower chassis and you started with a clean welding table and a tubing bender you could build what it would be impossible in my opinion for me to create.  I just don't see it as being the same thing.  If i am restricted by my original mower chassis and you can do whatever then where is the fairness.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

i was thinking a rally type/ on and off road coarse. my local racetrack has one of them, and i reallly want to figure out the rules on what i have to do to get on that track.
