timing question

i was wondering about what degree timing do yall run in the kohler 25.

34 degrees on our 45cid roller motor on gas.

i got 45 cubic inch. regular billet cam closed chamber heads.and when i try to start it it acts like to much timing im runnin 34 degrees i was thinkin bout bckin down 2 to 3 degrees to see if it will help startin it but i dont want to loose top end imma be turnin 6000 rpm no more than tht.

Are you running the good starter or is the solnoid seperate from the starter. We have to crank it over then turn the spark on. Ours will not start if the ign is on when we first crank it. If you have a steel billet cam your short changing the engine only turning it 6k. Better hope you have good rods and pistons in it.

solenoid is on the side of the starter everyone said the nippo starter would work fine. i got billet rods in it it in a go kart i run on oval track
