Rooster how much weight did you loose from the crank. It looks killer. Had to make a big difference in how quick it revs. I like it.

YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE IT BALANCED AND I AM NOT SURE YOU WILL GAIN BECAUSE OF ADDING WEIGHT. THE OPPOSED HAS NATURAL BALANCE, AS LONG AS BOTH CYLINDERS WEIGHT [PISTONS & RODS] ARE EQUAL. YOU WILL NEED TO TALK TO THE BALANCER PERSON TO SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO.
ANYTHING NEW JON!   WE DID NOT FORGET LOL!!!

Nothing new, too busy racing and doing work for other guys.
The opposed crank is actually even harder to balance than a single. With the two crank journals and the weights so far apart if you get them off then it will twist on the crank ...kind of hard to explain. I talked with Tommy "The King of all things Balanced" , and he talked to them reallly smart fellars he knows, and the only way to properly balance an oppy crank is on a computer balancer...

As for the singles...any weight you take off of one side has to come off of the other, on the Oppy i do this by drilling the crank pins. Thwe opposed has 1-5/8 crank pins - HUGE! The singles are prone to breakage without a hole in them, I would not suggest that!

No, these can be done without balancing the crank (oil mods)

I liked your little trick of drilling the oil groove longer for the crank bearing in the pan. I'm guessing this would work for just about any engine, right?

Yeah sorry, we got off talking about the crank, lol. no you won't have to re-balance for the oil mods to the block. However with a single If you do the crank grinding I definitely would!

Hey Rooster, don't appologize for giving out great tip and info.
Some guys like me read almost everything that comes along
