The only experience I have had is with a Chinese Hi Sun 31ci Briggs clone. The engine no. was lightly stamped on the crank end of the block. It went HS with a series of numbers and asterisks. The valves had collets on both inlet and exhaust. This engine disintegrated after about three laps. If it has the Briggs logo on internal parts it may be genuine. Hope this helps
If it has blades I'm not interested.
