Flow Bench

I'm just curious. Is there tool out there that you can buy off the shelf to use as a flow bench for head work or are these things totally custom? We use a LARGE custom piece of equipment with custom software to air leak test vehicle where I work for wind noise purposes that is very high tech and high $$. It is very accurate.

Also, what is the proper way to test heads? Without valves? With valves open so far? I would think that you hook the machine up to the intake port/exhaust port and run it through that way...

Thanks for the info...
