compression height

when measuring the piston height do you measure from the top of the piston to the relief where the wrist pin goes through the piston. Thats what i did, then measured the wrist pin. is this the proper way to measure? could post a pix if this is unclear.

compression height= piston height+wrist pin/2

yES, COMPRESSION HEIGHT IS FROM TOP OF PISTON TO CENTER OF WRIST PIN
