ah ok. This is a over head cam motor.

But I would sure hate to wreck it, it's a neat little motor. Light, powerfull (for it's size anyways) and starts easy.

But they mow up hills and down hills and on side hills. Is it running a pressurized oiling system, or is it running a slinger? Should have filter if it's pressurized. Then you have pickup location to consider. If it's a slinger it's kinda all over the bottom of the motor, goin round and round... ya know!

Lookin at drawings and pictures here, http://www.honda-engines.com/engines/gcv190.htm I'm assuming it's an oil slinger set up, in which case it shouldn't be a concern.

OK, that link looks like my motor, and mine does'nt have a filter so it must be a Forced Splash. We'll I'm glad I dont have to worry about the oil slush'en around in all the wrong places. Thanks for help!

My 3 year old boy loves his powerwheel 4 wheeler, I might be jump'en the gun a little here, but soon he'll be ready for somthing a little more powerfull. Right now being electric it keeps up with my grass cutter on full speed and he can drive better then me. The plastic wheels dont allow it to go up much of a hill, and it does'nt have enough power to go through any kind of thick grass/brush. Sooo over the winter I'm gonna build a frame for the parts I have collected and use the 4 wheeler body on it. So far I have a sweet OHC 6.5 Honda motor thats very light, a peerless transaxle (small single speed F-N-R), a front axle from a small rear engine JD and some cool little knobby tires for the back, and the hard to find 6" rim's with 3/4" keyway. For a clutch I'll run a cyntrifical and run a mini bike hand throttle.
All I had as a kid was a little go-kart with a tired 5hp flat head one wheel drive that was a slick. Went quick, but had no low end power or traction for any off road fun, but really enjoyed it anyways.
Oh, all most forgot, I'm gonna mount the transaxle upside down to keep the motor low for a safe center of gravity.

I stole the idea from george#22

He has 12hp with a 3sp.

how olds your boy?
 He looks pretty excited!
Mines only 5 months old, and im already planning his first go kart! LOL!
Oh come on man. You got no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippity do das, or crap flappers?
No, I don't.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Not a problem. If you scroll way to the bottom of the page there on the right hand side, there is a second link, for a GSV-190 6.5 hp Vertical also Jeff. It doesn't look as much like yours in the picture. Pretty safe to assume you're just slush'en oil around, and you should be safe.

Oh the joy's of home made fabricating...

I just spent hour's doing stuff that should of only taken seconds. First off the front wheels I picked up had a different size bearing that I exspected, see I had the exsact same brand and style wheels at home, but there were the 8" vertion, I wanted the 13" vertion to match the rear 14" wheels. I would of never of guessed the larger wheel had a smaller bearing bore. So I just swapped the bearing out of the 8" wheel and installed them in the 13" hub. I guess I cant complain, the tire, rim and bearings were only 8 dollars total.
And the rear tires gave me some trouble getting mouted on the rim, one of the wheels was sqished from laying on the shelves at the store, I could'nt get the darn bead to seal. I messed with it for hour's, pushing and pulling to get both sides to seal at the same time so I could get it to hold air. With one of em all I had to do was spray air at the bead. The other I had to remove the valve stem valve and directly attach the air hose to the valve stem opening, that blew enough volume of air to fill the tire faster then it could leak out of the unseated beads.
End rant. You may go back to your regular posting.
