I used to think I was too tall for A/P, then I met Pat Sullivan, Pete Sullivan and randy Stys (Squidd)...if them guys can drive them like they do, you'd have to be a really big fella to be too big!

Yeah I can see your points. But the clutch was a tough one because there is not too much room between the crank and gearbox output shaft. It's only a 28" belt. The idler comes within a half inch of one of the other pulleys when the clutch is depressed. I actually have belt keepers that snug right up to the pulleys so that belt won't come off. They are adjustable and I can get them right where I want them. The flat pulley was all I had on hand at the time-and it's been working fine so I haven't really given it much thought.
Steering- just ran it through a couple of pillow blocks.

I love it it. Only thing i see is that tubing under seat realy jacks you up there and that few inches will matter on these lil mowers.

Well this is basically the end of the build...
I was actually going to drop that seat right on the fenders, but it just didn't feel right to me. It only raised it up an inch and a half. It corners really well still. Besides, with the battery just under the rear fenders, I needed a space in between the battery and the seat so I could bolt the seat down.

Steve- not sure on the weight yet. Yeah these are definitely smaller and you have to keep your weight forward. My knees ride right on the corners of the hood.
Thought they were Rooster...I was told i could cut them into deck halves. The top of the deck was so rusted I couldn't weld on it. That's when I decided to cut the rust out and put the expanded metal in.

Well our winter racing got cancelled so I haven't put it to the test yet. It's only had one day of racing. I'll post after I have really run it.

are you using lock collars on your spindles to keep your hub from going towards the center of the axle instead of using spacer?????
