That's perfect, probably never have to turn left that sharp. I found that the machines have to actually turn right even sharper for control and to get yourself out of a spin condition in the corners.

got the clutch done....still need to add the belt guides and finish up the cable for the foot pedal, was able to use the dual pulleys and a 60'' belt

also got the fuel tank mounted, there will be a front bumper and another piece of tubing in front of it to protect it in case of a front impact...

the clutch is just a simple push and pull clutch, i like them better than a single pulley clutch, ill get some pics tomorrow of it disengaged, it is built super heavy duty, with a 1/2'' bolt riding on sealed bearings...

Nice build. Did you key the shaft for the drive sprocket?

yup, its a 7/8'' shaft coming out of the ragb, so i built a coupler and then keyed some hardened 7/8'' shaft with a 3/16'' mill bit!

Had some time to work on this thing...got the clutch done, i used 3/16'' brake line and 1/8'' cable to actuate the clutch, this will be somewhat temporary till i get a noram cent. clutch..

also got the axle and bearings along with the 3rd bearing installed...
with 16x7.50-8 tires it sits at 2'' in the rear, i need to change around the front spacers to get the front end just a shade lower as it sits about 2 1/4 right now....officially a roller i guess!

i was hoping for 2 1/4'' front and back but evidently im getting worse at reading a tape measure....i think if i lower the front just a tad the rear should raise just a tad!

I used to have mine down to 1.5" in the front but raised it up to 2" to get it to handle right for me. I think my current machine is around 2 1/4" in the back depending on tire pressures.
Looks good Jerb, I'll bet its nice to have it on four wheels for a change.

still planning on the springfield race with a mildly built engine....thanks for the comments guys, its pure amazement how much time it can take to build one of these machines, think, think, and re-think everything, but very fun none the less!
