Looks good,  simple,  tough with a bearing on both sides,  easily accessible for gear changes,  ties in the rest of the chassis,  nice job!   I assume the box is mounted in the middle of the chassis because the pulley fits up tight in there?

thanks Ryan, yes using an 8'' pulley on the ragb, not alot of room, i mounted the ragb back farther so the pulley is gonna be real close to the tubing that runs from side to side across the chassis, might have to do a little mod to that tubing, i honestly forgot about the tube till i looked underneith, oops, my bad...lol, lots to think about when building these chassis, like you say you must look ahead when building!

so if your running an 8 on the ragb then an 8 on motor??? is that just for added belt contact or something special?

I am thinking   4 or 5 on the motor    1 to 1 don't sound right ;)

the plan for now is to run an 8 on the ragb and a 5 on the engine, if it was an 8 on the engine, you would have to run a huge rear sprocket and a tiny front sprocket to get your final gearing low enough for the relatively short tracks we race on! I like to use as big of sprockets i can on every build to improve belt wrap and lessen the chance of slipping which creates heat and kills the belts!

lol well ok, sorry went back to kart basics of just naturally having one ratio to worry about lol. for example we ran as low as 10 driver and 73 axle, turn like 7500. but geuss everyones got there own prefferencs lol

i could run 1 to 1 ratio, but good luck finding split sprockets for the 40 series chain, i havent seen to much above 60 for the 40's chain, i could run a smaller front sprocket but with a 7/8'' shaft on the ragb, 12 is the smallest i have seen or could really build, if you could actually overdrive the ragb it would probably be better, but them ragb's are built pretty stout....and i plan on revving the snot out of the intek, well the 2nd one that gets built, first one gonna be on the real mild side....lol, till the money catches up with the brain!

Very nice Jerb

Also  picture  009-2     could you have put the bell crank in the center and had your arm come down straight instead of putting it on the left side and using angles ?

would of been easier probably, but this way all the rods stay the same length, not sure if that matters but....the way it is now the bellcrank is exactly in the center of the front wheels, if i tried to make rod straight up and down the steering would have been backwards, so has to be at an angle with this setup with steering in rear....

Got the clutch built today, had room for a 2 pulley clutch, not quite done....will be cable activated,

Got the front hubs, sitting at 1 3/4'' right now, still undecided on 6'' or 8'' rear rims, but should be rolling chassis within the next week
