1989 Dynamark with a plastic hood and grill question
« on: August 29, 2010, 09:06:33 pm »
I just bought a 1989 18hp dynamark lawn tractor for $25us that I want to turn into a racer.  My question is "Do I have to use the cheap plastic hood and grill or can I fab one out of metal? and do I have to use a factory 45inch Dynamark deck or can I just use any deck because this tractors deck was long gone when I got it?

Well, I want to race in the PALMRA but I'm not sure what class I would have to run.  It's a 1989 Dynamark lawn tractor with an 18hp opposed twin briggs engine but it's missing the deck.

I just want to start out mild to see if I like racing and can handle a slightly modified racing lawn mower before I go full bore.  then if I like it I'll go from there.  Also do they make a high torque racing starter for the opposed twin briggs?  My factory starter is toast so I figured I just replace it with a racing one if they make a racing starter
