Point well taken Randy, and I had already come to that conclusion given budget on this project. No way to come in under budget and invest $130 in pulleys on this build, or even $60. They would be nice, but given restrictions on IMOW it's not like I'll be changing gears on it frequently.

Figured I would splurge and go with the adjustable pulley on top of jackshaft for the simple benefit of being able to dial it in the event one Tech official sees things a little differently than the next, or the next set of tires differs slightly. And, save the investment in Split sheave pulleys for prepared class builds.

Thanks for the input and the link, will check prices over and look at what they have. Between Cenex here in town, and the farm stores in Bismarck, I should be able find what I need, and I think they'll come in at similar prices. I know Cenex was in that price range on standard metal pulleys, Runnings was right in that range on cast pulleys.

Uh yeah... that's a long story! Hard to work on mowers in ND when you're in Florida working. And, I'll be looking for a new pilot for the IMOW project when I return home!
