Tire/wheel Choice help needed-C/P
« on: October 17, 2006, 08:20:29 pm »
I'm starting to gather parts for the build of my USLMRA C/P class racer(Crapsman 14 hp L head, live axle, Peerless 350 4 speed). What is the hot ticket for tires? (make/size...ect)

Are aluminum rims the way to go or do they get destroyed?

Got to have the Bling on the rims man! Chrome is the only way to go!! See E-Bay Kart Racing Wheels, if you watch closely you can pick up a set a wheel or two at a time pretty reasonable. I picked up a set of 4 for around $40.

Tires... Carlisle Turf Masters are the most common. The tread pattern offers great traction even in the broadest of slides by design.

I do need to get a picture of them up there however!

Have a few in the chassis slideshow there however!

Size.... I would assume that's gonna depend on what you're running for gears. And, Squidd or George would be better able to answer that one for you.
