  THIS IS AN UPDATE: Next weekend we are heading to the Placer County Fair in Roseville. This is an all weekend event with EIGHT events. Visit http://www.pvmowerracing.com for the email.

 Please note that this is not a racing event. More clarification will come later. Stay tuned.

 Some things to keep in mind... With this many back-to-back races it would be wise to be well-prepared. This means extra engines ( if you have one) transmissions, chains, belts, oil, gas, and whatnot. Bring plenty of water- gallons of it- because it gets HOT in the foothills.

UPDATE:

Just to be clear to all that are involved, this is an exhibition event which means we're out there to entertain the fair attendees. In other words- take it easy, which probably isn't a bad idea seeing as how we're going to be on the track 8 times. There will be power at the track and we will also be able to setup our trailers and stuff in the pits. Bring your own food to avoid having to pay for expensive fair food. We will possibly have a BBQ that night as well. Probably not a bad idea to bring gallons of water too since its hot out there this time of year.

 We are expected to be at the fair by 8:00 AM Saturday so we can get setup in preparation for the first event. We are also allowed to camp in the pits if we so choose. See you all there.

Here's another update.

 In order to get to the spot where we are racing, go to corperation yard road to gate J then aim to sunset lawn area. Attached is a map of the fairgrounds.

 We're probably all a little sore today  (I know I am) but here's a great big thank you to Bud, Bob, Gary, Kevin, the other Bob, and everyone else who showed up and made it happen. We put on 8 shows and believe it or not our machines managed to hold up till' the end. Given than it was pushing 107 degrees everyone did a great job of putting on some fine entertainment. Yes, everyone had a great time & the grandstands were full for every show. I've been involved with racing for over 40 years & mower racing is by far the most "bang for your buck" & the people involved are the greatest. Will have pics & videos to post soon.

I know I had a lot of fun and so did my son.
It got alot of people in the stands and alot of them thinking they want to start racing mowers , I have already got three calls on the "how do start, what do i need thing.. etc....
     I want to thank everyone for making the long trips here to make this event happen (THANK YOU)
The events manger liked it so much there's talk of  keeping the track long term and a track organzier from a near by county wants mower racing at thier fair grounds.

I have never met a more greater group of humans and racers than I did at placer co.you guys know how to kick grass! I thank you for your racing abilities and your mowchines.that was probably the most exhausting but fun race I have ever done!put you guys on tv and radio and now my phone is ringin off da hook!again THANK YOU and check my new post for paso robles, need 8 racers for a gig $$$
