hello igot a 17hpohv i belive its a 31 but i have a problem with ti. i let it run for 10 minutes no smoke and all of a sudden it smokes like its burning pure oil i have a idea but just would like another opion thanks Les

Head gasket. Those motors are notorious for blowing head gaskets even in stock form.

Yes, very bad design. Probably a copper gasket would be better. It's always that little bit of graphite or whatever the gasket is made of, blows between the push rod area and the cylinder.

i have blown two head gaskets the last two weeks first time smoked out catch can and the second smoke out the exhaust
