The state of Mowmentum
« on: May 18, 2010, 12:35:17 pm »
Due to my termination at my employer (effective 10 a.m. today), it's time to re-evaluate the state of Mowmentum. As of now, it's not enough income for me to support my family on. But that's Ok becau se it will give more time to focus on it. My unemployment will not be challenged, so thats a good thing. But, starting tomorrow, I won't be publishing the free pdfs anymore. I talked with Jayson Mikula about electronic subscriptions. I'm going to look into that a little more and maybe have some answers. Keep my family in your prayers where applicable. I'll be fine, and really, I'm at peace with the termination. But my wife is nervous. Thanks for listening and understanding. Hopefully in the past eight editions, you know the the kind of product I put out and it's worthy of your business.

Sorry to hear about your termination. I know what it's like. A couple of weeks ago my boss called in to work at 8:30 in the morning and said "we're going out of business at midnight tonight!" But then he turned around and said he would keep us on for another month or two. So that helped a little, but it's quite a shock when it happens! I hope everything works out for you. Keep your head up, I keep hearing that the economy is getting better. I don't know if I believe it or not!
I hope you can keep on making the Mowmentum magazine. I really enjoy reading it and i think it's helping our sport grow!

Like I say, fellas, I'll be fine. My wife's nervous, but she's got every right to be. The good thing about being so honest is that your reputation gets out there. It's only been four hours since my termination, and I've had three job offers. I'll land on my feet. The good news is Seinfeld is on one of the local channels every day at 12:30, I only owe on one vehicle and only a little left on my house. Trst me, this is an answer to my prayers, altho I wish I had another job in line first. THanks for the support tho.

Thank for the kind words, but I found out today that my unemployment went through Ok, A new advertiser wants to start in Mowmentum and my wife tentatively agreed to vacation in November to both Tennessee and Georgia. I have to save my alumnimum cans to offset the gas money, but 12 oz cans recycle at the same value, whether it's one with a baseball stadium named after it or not.
