Kohler engine builder in southeast Kansas
« on: May 13, 2010, 01:14:57 pm »
Guys, I am completely out of my depth here. I am a 2-stroke kart racer. One of my neighbors stopped by the house last night thinking I might actually know something about small engines . He has purchased a rare old Snapper tractor that has what I think is a vintage Kohler 14 HP horizontal. Can anybody recommend an engine builder in the southeast, KS or southwest, MO area?

Thanks

Any good small engine shop should be able to help you out.  Kohlers were in a lot of mowers!

Rooster is in your area, he will probably chime in with a name of a shop!!!!

Thanks Paul, That was my first thought too. There is a crackerjack Snapper guy in Carthage, MO. I can recommend.

Rooster, we are just north of Pittsburg, KS in Mulberry USA. I have a sneaking suspicion that my neighbor might want to race that tractor at some point so anybody you can recommend would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'll do that sometime. You need to check us out too! We'll be at Hallett just west of Sand Springs, OK. in July. That's not to far from you guys.

Where do you race and when?
