My new S/P just before it's first race

I finished this mower just before the first race. These pictures are taken just before hot laps at our first race. I had a blast even though the transaxle broke in the heat race and we couldn't make the race. I can't wait for the next race. Mower is already torn down to be repaired.

Thanks George, if it had not been for you and EC and all the last minute parts I needed that you guys shipped in a hurry I would not of made it.

This mower has a backup motor in it because my engine builder of choice doesn't return calls or emails and seems to be missing in action with my motor and my money. I am starting to worry that I have been had. I won't name any names yet but "g" I wish he would respond with somekind of responce.

Great looking ride..we just picked up a couple of those chassis and I was thinking they would make some nice little SP's!

Earl, The pictures don't do this mowchine justice. I had the honor of seeing this racer at the Huntsville Texas race. It is increadable! Earl did a top shelf job. Graham is just a few weeks away. Hope to see you there. Scott

Thanks Scott, I really enjoyed the Huntsville race and I am already regrouping for the Graham race.

I enjoyed building this mower even though it cost me more than I thought it would. I am in the planning stages for the next one already. I have a motor for an A/P and a C/P sitting in the shop just need to find the right chassis for the A/P already have the chassis for the C/P but might just go B/P instead. Might just end up with one of each. I think I got this mower racing bug real bad. :lol: I am trying to get all my kids to build one as well then I could just hold my own race. I already built a test track but need to widen it for side by side racing........

Sorry Doug I used all the factory parts that are on the mower. It came with a peerless 600 and I modified it for racing. I dont know the exact year but it was sometime in the 70's I believe.
