Mike recommends bottom left for the steering link up.  Tires are a personal choice, I use the 13x6.50-6 just because I like them better than the 13x5.50-6.  There is an option on Acme's site to order for the wider tires.

Left right top and bottom (or centered) depends on where your linkage comes from your steering...

Most "stock" setups will show up on left side (when seated)..BUT

If your not using centered steering link or ackerman... running steering link to "right" or outer wheel will give most "direct" control to tire taking the most stress while driving...

If there is any "additional" slop from cross link or tie rod...let it flop on the inner (or left) tire as it is not as critical...

I totally disagree with the above statement. The left front is the tire that controls all your initial turning generally will take a higher impact since its closer to the hay bales, I want my link to it so I have a better grip on things if I clip a bale and I get a better feel through the steering wheel of what the front end is doing. You don't want any front wheel with slop period and if built right none will. Just another opinion from another source.

It's OK to disagree George...It's kinda like should I run 8 and 5 and a small drive sprocket or 6 and 6 and a bigger drive sprocket...

It's actually a mute point which side the steering link hits if the Linkage is tight...

On the other hand I look at my avatar pic and the right side starts looking important too...

Fight! Fight!    Ow... Ouch... Oh!!   Duck Squidd! Cover up George!!!

Actually, both very good points guys! Your left tire does lead in on the turn and set you up in the corner, so it is critical. But after that both should be on the ground THEORETICALLY through the corner, if chassis set up is lifting the left rear like it's supposed to. If it isn't, or if you catch a rut, both left side tires are subject to be off the ground. And, if you're in a controlled slide or likewise in coming out of the corner the right tire is more apt to be on the ground because of the physics involved... inertia and torque.

But as you both point out, there should be NO slop!!

As for running over, er uhmmm clipping hay bales.... ain't you supposed to try and avoid doing that George?  :D

(Yeah, I know! I nudged a few of them around in my brief racing career already! And, I made the G-Man cringe everytime I came out of 4 at the Peace Gardens, and I wasn't hittin them!! Of course those were on the outside of the track, inside line was too rough, so I took the top side and just let it all hang out. But that woulda been the right tire clippin bales!)

OK... I'm done moderating! Y'all kiss and make up! <~~ Why do I keep having flashbacks to the Minnesota build clinic over this one Squidd?!

Ok, just ordered it. Do you think the spindles will hold up, or will i find myself replacing them later down the road? I am putting hubs on them also.
