I am guessing golf cart. Look at these parts illustrations, look quite similar to me.

http://www.yamahagolfcar.com/partsandservice/default.aspx#

I went to view parts illustrations, then model year 1987, and then tried model g2ab.

Almost identical right down to the oil filler...... What are the chances that the first year and model I tried could be the one....I should go buy a lottery ticket  :woo:

Well, you could make a coffee table out of it, nice conversation piece.
Or, find the golf cart portion of what you already have.

Maybe I'll just put it up for sale and get rid of it. I have no use for it.. but it was free so I brought it home.

It would be interesting to see how close these OHV parts match to some other OHV parts on a Briggs.. Maybe a new source of parts if they work?.. I don't know..

Thanks for your help guys

Those eninges are well, good for a golf cart and that is about it.
I have a Yamaha golf cart and I had to rebuild the engine last year.  Mine is a newer model, but the engine is simmilar.  They do have bearings on all the rotating surfaces, but the rod is weak and so are the counter balancers.
After visting with the local golf cart shop they said if you over speed these engines the conter balancer will break.  And if the rod is shot it will start knocking.  And they don't like long run times, they are designed to run for short spurts.

SO I'm playing with fire on my golf cart.  New engine and bypassed govenor!!

Come on............YOU didn't think I could leave it STOCK!!!!!!!!!

Sell it, it isn't worth much.  You need the starter/generator anyway to make it work and be usefull.   Which is the expensive part.

Don't know value.  I spent $150 on mine to overhaul it.  Piston, bore, all gaskets and seals.  So they are cheep to fix.  Throw it up on ebay and take what you get.  Or go to buggies unlimmited.  They have a forum on their site.
