Thinking about building a F/X mower and need some good ideas for a frame and driveline setup.

ok i have some ideas im thinking about running a 1:1 right agle drive to a racing go cart clutch back to the chrome molly 1.25 rear axle i need to know the best gear ratio.

figure out how fast you need to go,your tire size,and the engine rpm you want to run and do the math.

the lighter the better , and in my opinion , i like a longer chassis it seems to work OK for me .
most of the mowchines in the USLMRA are ether midmotor or very small front motor mowchines , there are a few rear motor mowchines but dont ask me how they make them work LOL

you can make rear engine machines work the same way that you make front engine machines work.You get some scales and start moving weight around especially that big lump of weight that is holding the steering wheel.I feel that some of the rear engine machines have better weight distribution than the front engine tractors but some of the guys have to work on getting the driver to sit lower.

im looking for a mid engine but i am fidnign that they are hard to find does anyone have one they want to get rid of?
