wheel hub questions
« on: October 11, 2009, 12:38:37 am »
i just received my 4 on 4 multi pattern hub from ec and am wondering which way the wheels go on and how you center them cuz the included nuts are just regular ol grade 8s...no bevel on the end. dad says drill the rim to 5/8 and put a set of shank style McGard stainless lug nuts on them.....what do you guys do? Also, i am running 8x7 douglas wheels and 16x7.50 turf pros. Which way does the wheel go on? The dimples in the wheel center facing inward or out wards? With dads suggested set up he says run the "dimples" facing outward that way when the lug nut tightens up it loads the center of the wheel

The bolts (studs if you will) are the same diameter as the holes in your rim and the raised center portion of the hub fits neatly inside the large center hole of the rim. There is no need for anything else. Simply run the bolts through the back side of the hub, slide the rim on, set the flat washers in place and install the nuts.
