How many beers are missing from the cooler! Just kiddin. Don't drink and race. Race then drink.

I like to make sure I have enough gas in the tank, I would hate to run out on the last lap.

I do agree with the checking of fuel. I know I ran a small tank on my firs racers.. and we had a few heats with a ton of cautions. I JUST made it and ran out on the cool down lap.

Now I check my fuel level even if I only ran a few hot laps.

Check to see if the cooler is locked. Hate to finish the race and head to an empty cooler!!!!!!

Get a good count on the beer before you go out on the track for the last race. make sure the tank is full and everything is running perfectly. check your steering for looseness and slop. make sure the wheels and hubs are on tight. check everything is working as is. make sure your tether works. and get suited up and check your gear twice. check feel of all controls and make sure you have oil!

i think everybody knows the importance of a locked cooler, myself included, reading the post i realized i was not the only one!, but yes a good attitude is a must, heck, everybody i race against is my friend, and an off-track incident has never happened between me or any other racer, seen it happen, but that takes the fun right out of it, and that what this sport is all about, meeting friends and having fun, George says it best: we all have to work come monday morning!!!
