Length of the intake
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:31:08 pm »
Can anyone help me out?
My question is about the lenght of the intake from the carb to the block.
Does the distance make any difference?
I am sure too long would be a bad thing. But does the length make any change such as in torque or responce or high end?

Thanks!

I've heard rumors on this, but will be interested to see what the boys in know have to say as well.

Since most of them are on their way to Ohio, guess it's going to be a few days before we hear from them.

We are pulling out in a matter of minutes. But US rules do not allow us to change the intakes so we don't get to experiment. Lots of ideas but why try it if ya can't run it.

But I can on the pulling tractor we're working on, and I've heard longer is better is there.

Depends on usage and the particular rules of the group you're in.
