« on: August 27, 2006, 09:00:03 am »
i have a 98 mtd 14hp 38inch cut and we put a small pulley on the differential and a big one on the engine.  but something in the differential is robbing horsepower.  is there anything i can remove from it to gain speed?

What kind of trans axle do you have in there...

Is it a "Vari Drive"..?  Hydro Drive..??

Or is it possible you are "overgeared" (too big and too small) and are just not transfering torque at the right rpm range..?
