i have a kawasaki 14hp old single cylinder and it has a big round thing on the float bowl cover and its connected to the wiring on the mower and the mower is a lx176 john deere :confused: :confused:

more then likely it is a fuel solenoid, Or also known as an "anti backfire solenoid".
If mowers are a habit then I need an intervention

i started it up one day and it backfired and i just got it its old and i was wondering if u need to ground the ground to make it work or just leave it un-grounded and the only thing its hooked up to is the battery its a yellow wire to plug into it and then theres a red one so just wondering if i should ground sorry if this sounds funny and long :bash:
