For some reason I keep stripping out my hub on the tranny that the sprocket is welded to. It's done this 2 weeks in a row and is costing me a trophy. I gotta get this stopped. The shave on the tranny looks good, but I'm using a steering hub with the sprocket welded to it and it is stripped out pretty bad. Are they a better hub to use or something harder that will stop this? Also can one get a new shaft for my tranny incase it messes it up next?

Use brake hubs they are a harder metal than the steering hubs. Any brake hub with the splines from anypeerless transaxle or tranny will do the trick. If it strips that I would say the tranny shaft is the issue.

or another thing thats wayy easier to make a hub out of - the input gear aka pinion gear outta a old junker they fit on the shaft and all u gotta do is grind off the teeth and weld it on have made 3 like that and havent had any problems yet
just easier if u dont have a lathe readily available

Where can I buy another tranny shaft for my 700? It's the 700-039 Transmission. Mine has the shaft sticking out both sides of the tranny, and on the brake side the hub fits tight, but on the side my sprocket is on it's a little loose.
