Kolher 10-15cv/ch hp differences
« on: May 04, 2009, 11:54:03 am »
I have a 12.5 cv and was looking at the comparison chart for these engines. It says that they have all of the same dimentions. What is the difference between the hp's? Any help would be appricated.

Alot of motors have the same bore and stroke, and a different horse power
rating, it is in the carburetor. Some are a jetting adjustment, some are a
carburetor size.

Some of the horsepower differences in the command series were as simple as the governor/throttle linkage. The larger horse motor were allowed to wind up a little tighter.

a 12.5 hp has a smaller bore than a 14.5hp. the stroke of the crank is the same, but the bores are different.
