ive seen some with the snow hogs on the front
« on: July 26, 2006, 07:52:06 pm »
What do you think of those?
i have a set of snow hogs for the front of mine. but im thinking im gonna go with carlisles like george has on his. they seem to be the softest, most like a cart tire.

BUT if you could woud you run snowhogs front and back? Because i can in my league if i wanted to.
Oh come on man. You got no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippity do das, or crap flappers?
No, I don't.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

works for me.. i was leaning twords the turfmasters, also just because we run on a really hard packed track. i might change my mind once we run in pine on the soft dirt track.....
thanks!

I know this may sound stupid, but the cheapest price I found on the turf type tires was at WALMART. Go back in the tire  section and they have them or will get them. :o

But do they get sufficient bite for a race prepared mowered. Most don't! Especially not anything you're going to find at Walmart. If turf tires from Walmart worked, everyone would be buying them there.

There is a reason so many mower racers run Carlisle Turf Masters.

To be quite frank, the Carlisl;e turf master is the best front tire hands down, even over the sno-hogs, been there done that, for the rear there's two real good options carlisle turf masters for a soft or grass track and the tur-pro's for a hard pack dirt or clay, thats if ya running 8 dia. on the rear, Sno hogs work well where the dirt is garden soft or in sand on a hrd surface they can't get eny grip mainly because the lugs don't have enough surface contact area.

Last time I checked Carlisle tires sold at any store were all the same. Didn't realise we had to refer a .com retailer or sponsor.

Haven't ever found Carlisle tires at Walmart here, as cause for questioning it.

And, their website only offers Turf Saver II which lacks the more aggresive tread pattern of the Turf Master and Turf Pro.
